Welcome to Tiny Tides Learn to Swim Program
Why we do it
Tiny Tides mission is to educate and encourage water safety by building our swimmers’ trust and skills while teaching in an individualized and logically progressive approach. Our goal is to prevent drownings by building independent, confident, and safe swimmers.
Our company’s founder, Lyndsey Almonte feels most at peace surrounded by water. 25 years ago, Lyndsey’s mom, Carroll Vaughan, formally created the Miami Riptides a non-profit organization that has grown into an internationally recognized water polo team that offers both recreational and competitive programs for young athletes. Naturally, Lyndsey grew up in the pool either swimming, playing water polo, coaching, or teaching kids to swim. Now a mother of four kids of her own whom she’s also taught to swim, Lyndsey’s dream is to do her part in educating and preventing death by drowning, the leading cause of unintentional deaths to children 1-4 years of age.
